”I’m going to die soon” were among the final scripted words of actor Mahmud al-Sawalka who died in real life while filming a death scene. A remarkable incident that inspired us (actor&theatermaker Bert Hana and me) to reserach the art of acting and the art of the death scene, by the programme De Kunst van het Sterven. Ten great actors will perform live their favorite death scenes from general theater history. Saturday septembre 13th, at the mainstage of Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, part of the Dutch Theater Festival 2014.
